From our team’s punctuality and presentation, through to our attention to detail on every project, be it a new construction or working with a client to keep their garden looking it's very best, we love what we do. This is why we have been in business on the Gold Coast since 1988.
We also have an easy, effective design and construction process for our clients.
1. Initial Consultation
One of our dedicated Project Managers will arrange a suitable time to meet at your home, discuss your ideas and lifestyle goals for your new project and make some initial suggestions. This typically takes around an hour depending on the size of the project and the details required to understand your ideas, goals and budget.
2. Design Concept
Following the initial consultation, we will start designing your new landscape with our latest CAD software. This stage is a collaborative process, which may involve one or two draft plans before the fully detailed construction plan is produced. This plan will be guaranteed to meet the relevant regulatory authorities’ requirements.
3. Construction Phase
You will have a dedicated Project Manager and on-site Supervisor who will be working with you on a day-to-day basis to turn your design concepts into reality. At all stages, we will treat your home like our own and we will aim to make sure the process is easy and enjoyable.

We purchased our home in Sanctuary Cove just prior to the beginning of COVID 19 in November 2019. The home was beautiful inside, however, the gardens and lawns were not reflective of the internal standard of the home. We spent the next few years tinkering with slight modifications to the landscaping but never really felt totally happy. Our friends who live in the Cove referred us to Park Lane Landscapes. We had seen the Park Lane teams working in the Cove and their work looked very impressive, so we contacted Park Lane landscapes.
Our point of contact was Nathan Shinners, Operations Manager for Park Lane. As our main residence was in Sydney, Nathan initially had numerous conversations with us over the phone, visited our property for a full walk around and then presented us with some verbal ideas with which we felt very comfortable. We then met with Nathan on site and were further impressed with his detailed and committed approach which met with our own passion and love for this home. Within a short space of time we asked Nathan to produce a plan for the entire landscaping of the property.
The plan was incredibly detailed and it was obvious Nathan had put a significant amount of thought into the plant styles, their positioning, added a mixture of retaining walls, trellises and a total redesign of our outside covered area. The plan also included lighting and a fully functioning watering system with appropriate drainage installed where needed. Nathan identified plants and trees that could be kept and the Park Lane team did a hard prune of those plants in readiness for the work in the coming months.
Nathan's knowledge of plants is immense and he provided us with so many options to choose from. Once we decided upon the planting and design, a full set of final drawings were prepared to be submitted to our Body Corporate for approval. Once these plans were approved, the Park Lane teams went into action and, Wow, did they get into action!
A few weeks of heavy excavation took place combined with the removal of 200+ tons of dirt and existing plants. The excavation teams did a wonderful job and at no stage was there any damage to any part of our home or the structures we were keeping, a feat rarely accomplished by tradies today.
Nathan remained in close touch with us but handed over the day-to-day on-site management to Aaron. Aaron is incredibly detailed and knowledgeable and what's more is obviously well respected by his workmates and subcontractors. Aaron was an absolute pleasure to work with every day, nothing was too much trouble or too tiny a detail to discuss and he is a tribute to Park Lane‘s reputation.
Matty, the company’s “Chippy Guru” worked plenty of his magic at our home. His considered and experienced input into the design and construction of all our trellis work, pergola area and replacement of our decking areas, speaks volumes to Matty’s dedication and passion for his work.
One thing that particularly stood out for us was the attention to detail and the unwillingness to leave anything in situ that was not quite right. Nathan, Aaron and Matty displayed this on several occasions, ensuring that all work was finished to perfection, and without us even realising there had been a need for this to happen.
Throughout the project Nathan would discuss with us options for highlighting various areas, in Nathan's words, “to make it pop”. He suggested beautifully designed lasercut privacy screens and wall art for our home and accompanied us to the manufacturer which helped us significantly in choosing the right designs for our project. The level of confidence we had in Nathan from the outset, encouraged us to undertake this huge project with complete trust in the outcome and with the added benefit of so much excitement along the way.
The whole landscaping process felt to us like we were part of the Park Lane team. Every single person on site was incredibly pleasant, polite, hard working and took obvious great pride in what they were producing. Something we found incredibly heartening and indicative of how all these people think, was that at the end of EVERY day the entire site was left clean and tidy. It was blown down, hosed down and all the equipment put away so as not to intrude on the enjoyment of our home.
The entire landscaping project became so picturesque and we felt that our property was the canvas, Nathan was the artist and Aaron, Matty and the team were the brushes. Many times throughout the project we were to hear the phrase “teamwork makes the dream work” and nothing could have been truer with our project. The entire Park Lane team is a well-oiled “machine” where nothing is left to chance and each member of the team is invested in creating a wonderful landscape result for us. Brett, the owner of Park Lane Landscapes, has our deepest respect for creating such a team to attend to our dream.
During the project we felt privileged to get to know all the team members and could not be more thankful for their diligence, dedication and professionalism…there are so many of you, but you know who you are!!
